Arosa

Early bird passes for the winter of 2019 - 2020

Winter in Arosa

Arosa is a traditional Swiss winter sports resort with above-average snow quality and long hours of sunshine.

It is located at an altitude of 1,800 meters in a mountainous bowl at the end of the stunning Schanfigg Valley surrounded by wildlife, forests, rivers, lakes and mountains.

To ski

At an altitude of 1,800 meters, Arosa surrounds a spacious, snow-sure, sunny bowl, which has no through traffic.

With fast lifts that serve the huge Arosa bowl, mainly blue and red slopes spread out over three peaks: Hörnli, Weisshorn and Bruggerhorn.

These modern lifts lead to skiing off-piste as well as on the slopes. Experts can enjoy skiing on the Weisshorn and on the Bruggerhorn or make a selection of tours in the seclusion of the altitude. Avalanche hazards must be understood and managed at all times.

The slopes are wide and sunny, and the Hörnli gondola lift in Arosa is now connected to the Urdenfürggli in Lenzerheide at 2,600 meters, with the environmental impact of the valley limited to 225 km.

Experience the wintry nature of Arosa with your cross-country skis on one of our six trails. Whether challenging or comfortable, on the many kilometers of hiking trails through forests, along lakes and over plateaus with stunning valley views - here everyone gets a foretaste. Here is the cross-country skiing map.

Arosa has recently become a major attraction for snowboarders as they are first class snow parks. Our own Olympic player Emilia Ambuhl regularly promotes and organizes events here in winter.

In Arosa families and sports enthusiasts have everything on their doorstep.

Hiking trails, sea walks, a path where squirrels make the trees happy to eat nuts, toboggan runs, ice skating outdoors, horse and sleighs - all add to the mountain scene, where tourists arrive hourly on the mountain train, with excellent access to the whole Swiss railway network.

Ski slopes, off piste, snow parks, cross country skiing, ski touring, telemark - why not take an hour or a guided snowshoeing excursion? Wonderful beginner and intermediate slopes are intertwined with an extensive network of winter hiking trails and many cozy mountain restaurants, all within walking distance.

Shops, boutiques, sports shops, specialty shops, post offices, banks, ATMs can be found mainly in the Poststraße, the main road from the Obersee via the Arosa station to the Hörnli gondola lift.
