Arosa Summer Winter Holidays
Located in a wide bowl at the top of the stunning Schannfig valley, extending from Chur, Arosa is very sunny and to a great extent sheltered from strong winds. As there is no transit traffic, the air is particularly pure and Arosa has been a famous Alpine health resort since 1877. Arosa is accessible by Rhaetian Railways from Chur or 30km by car with 365 dreamy bends and through several tunnels. A great destination for electric cars, we have dedicated charging points for Tesla and overnight charging for all electric cars.
Summer begins 16th June, 2017 and ends 22 October, 2017.

Winter Season 2017/18 opens 12.12.2017– starting with skiing and the Arosa Humour Festival in it’s mountain Circus Tent. The whole Area is open 23.12.17 – 8.4.18.
The last day skiing is Sunday 15.04.2018. In between we have the full moon parties and lots more.
The Arosa All-inclusive Card, which is free for any overnight stay (apartment, hotel or camp site), entitles Arosa guests to a wide variety of free offers!

Arosa alone boasts more than 200 km of different hiking and walking trails. A hiking tour to be especially recommended is the 10 lakes hike, a tour of 15 km leading from one crystal-clear mountain lake to the next. Then there’s the Schanfigg circuit from Chur to Arosa and back with its many traditional cozy mountain huts and alpine pastures.
For mountainbikers, a multitude of trails are available in Arosa as well as in Lenzerheide, where there is the additional possibility to use the bike park, pump track and the skill center as well as a bike school. Many biking events are organized for visitors to watch or participate in.
Weisshorn (2,653 metres above sea level) – the new panorama restaurant offers magnificent 360° views over 400 peaks in Switzerland and neighbouring countries as well as down to Chur, the capital of Grisons.
Untersee bathing beach – idyllically situated bathing beach with a sandy shore, sunbathing lawn and decking, solar-heated paddling pool, diving boards, table tennis and a garden restaurant.
Squirrel Trail – not at all shy, the squirrels along the squirrel trail close to the village allow themselves to be fed by the whole family.
Arosa Golf Course – in a fabulous Alpine setting one of the highest 18-hole golf courses in Europe at an altitude of 1850 metres above sea level.

Arosa Jazz Festival – jazz sounds from the Obersee right up to the Weisshorn peak (July).
13th Arosa Classic Car: from 31 August to 3 September 2017 – the International Hill Climb Arosa ClassicCar between Langwies and Arosa transforms Arosa to the ‘Monaco of the Mountains’. The event provides attractions and highlights on and off the race track (August / September).

Travel Options to Arosa
Arosa at 1800m altitude is accessed by rail, road and air.
Rail – The total journey from Zurich Airport to Arosa is 2 hours 56 minutes, Including two changes – Zurich City Centre & Chur. The Intercity service between Zurich & Chur offers a great view of the lake.
Road – 130 km motorway from Zurich, 30 km driver friendly, well maintained mountain bends.
Air. There are Several Helipad landings in Arosa.

Arosa attracts International Clientele, thanks to it hourly rail connections from Zurich International Airport. The shopkeepers, ski instructors and such, are impressively fluent in English and German. You may also pass with Italian, and there are many French speaking visitors to Arosa in winter and summer.
